Women’s rugby first came to the surface in the late 1800’s and now rolling on in the years to 2014, Kanturk R.F.C due to popular demand, produced an Under 16 girls team. This has now developed into an Under 18 girls team this year.
Rugby is an incredible sport that teaches and requires leadership, respect, confidence, dedication and teamwork which is undoubtedly important for up and coming young athletes both male and female.
Kanturk ladies have started off their 2017/2018 season with a bang with two away wins so far to Old Christians and Mitchelstown in friendly games, putting on great performances full of heart, fight and integrity. With the dedication of players and a driving club the future looks bright for Kanturk ladies R.F.C!!
